Bengaluru: In a chilling crime that unfolded near Turahalli forest, a man was brutally murdered allegedly by his wife and her former fiancé, after he objected to their ongoing extramarital affair. Kengeri police have arrested the accused duo.
The arrested have been identified as Dadapeer alias Dadu (25) and Umme Salma alias Nazia (22), residents of Cottonpet. The victim, Sameer (26), was a resident of Padarayanapura.
Police say the incident took place on the night of April 6, when Dadapeer lured Sameer to Turahalli forest road in Banashankari 6th Stage, under the guise of settling personal differences. A verbal spat turned violent, and as per the plan, Dadapeer attacked Sameer with an iron rod, leading to his death. The accused fled the scene immediately after the attack.
Sameer was found dead the next morning in a pool of blood by police patrolling the area. His body bore severe injuries, confirming a case of murder.
Investigations revealed that Nazia was earlier engaged to Dadapeer, but their relationship ended. She later married Sameer, with whom she had a child. Despite the marriage, Nazia continued her relationship with Dadapeer. Sameer, who worked at a tyre shop in Kalasipalya, had repeatedly confronted Nazia and warned her to sever ties. However, the affair continued.
Officers confirmed that Nazia and Dadapeer conspired to eliminate Sameer after he became a hurdle to their relationship. Both have been arrested and further investigation is ongoing.
