Weeks before the Election Day on November 5, early voting began in Texas on Monday and will continue through November 1. 47 states and the District of Columbia offer early voting options to all voters but Election Day, according to the Department of Justice, is held on the Tuesday after the first Monday. The states that offer early voting and mail-in ballots to all voters are Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, DC, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming. States that offer early voting for all but require an eligible reason for mail-in ballots are Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia.
