NEW DELHI: External affairs minister S Jaishankar is all set to visit the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany and will meet the leadership of the three countries.
He will start his six-day, European countries visit from May 19 and will hold discussions on the entire gamut of bilateral relations and regional and global matters of mutual interest, according to the statement released by MEA.
Jaishankar's Germany visit coincides with Friedrich Merz 's assumption of the Federal Chancellor position in May this year.
Prime Minister Modi congratulated Friedrich Merz and indicated his commitment to enhance the India-Germany Strategic Partnership.
On social media platform X, PM Modi stated: "Heartiest congratulations to @_FriedrichMerz on assuming office as the Federal Chancellor of Germany. I look forward to working together to further cement the India-Germany Strategic Partnership."
India maintains cordial relations with these three nations.
Indo-Danish relations are founded on historical connections, democratic values and mutual aspirations for peace. The "Green Strategic Partnership" currently guides their bilateral engagement, as noted by MEA.
