Gurgaon: Security was beefed up amid a high alert in the city on Monday soon after a car blast near Red Fort Metro Station, in which nine people were killed and 24 others were injured.
A senior police officer told TOI, "All DCPs were asked to alert cops at police stations under their jurisdiction. A special video-conference was also held with the senior police officers in Gurgaon. Special checking will be conducted across the district."
Another police officer said that special vigilance will be kept in key areas including malls, bus stands, railway stations, metro stations and busy markets.
Meanwhile, In Faridabad, police have also stepped up security measures near public places as well as historical spots.
