Brady who became a minority owner in the Raiders in October, is now accused by Skip Bayless of playing a role in Sanders' draft demise.

In a response video posted on May 9, 2025, Bayless went hard after Brady, accusing the NFL legend of lying. According to Bayless, Brady has had a long history of mentoring Shedeur and knows his game better than anyone. Skip claims that the Raiders, who desperately needed a quarterback before signing Geno Smith , must have consulted Brady for his opinion on Sanders.
“Tom Brady has called me out. I guess he’s called me a liar. So I’m about to call BS on Tom Brady, because Tom, you know and I know everything I said about you and Shedeur Sanders is obviously exactly right,” Bayless fired back.

Bayless insists it would be foolish for the Raiders not to ask Brady for input, given his direct involvement with Sanders’ development throughout high school and college. This caused quite the stir as the two big names clashed over their roles in the draft drama.

Tom Brady, never one to shy away from confrontation, quickly addressed the accusations. He denied any part in the Raiders’ decision-making process and defended himself by claiming that the media were just “making up stories” without any solid proof. According to Brady, the whole situation was exaggerated, and he had nothing to do with Shedeur’s draft position.
This back-and-forth, which has been heating up on social media, marks the latest chapter in a feud that began with the unexpected slide of Shedeur Sanders.
While Skip Bayless focuses on Brady’s involvement, the truth is, Shedeur’s fall in the draft had more factors at play than one person’s influence. After a highly successful college career at Colorado, Shedeur was passed on by 31 other teams before the Cleveland Browns selected him 144th overall.
It’s worth noting that the Raiders weren’t the only team that could’ve used a young QB but they chose not to. The Steelers, for example, had their eyes on other players, and even the New York Giants passed on Shedeur, opting for Jaxson Dart instead.
As the Bayless-Brady feud rages on, all eyes will be on Shedeur Sanders during the 2025 season. Now that he’s officially drafted, he’ll have the chance to prove all the doubters wrong and show he belongs in the NFL. The drama around his draft slip might be far from over, but Shedeur is focused on what really matters: his career.
