Sumona Chakravarti, known for her roles in popular TV shows, recently shared her experience of interacting with fans during Durga Puja celebrations. While the festivities are always special for her, this year’s interactions were particularly memorable, thanks to her recent stint on Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Dressed in a stunning handwoven Benarasi saree, Sumona mentioned that wearing a red saree on Ashtami has become a ritual for her. However, she humorously added that she has run out of red sarees and had to source this new piece for the occasion. “Pujo is over… wearing a red sari on ashtami is becoming a bit of a ritual and I have officially run out of red sarees. Hence the sourcing & i got so lucky with this beautiful handwoven benarasi. Pujo is also a time when i get to interact with a lot of fans. They tell me about what they like the most about the characters that i play,” she said.

This year, many fans expressed how much they missed seeing her in one of her regular TV shows, while also appreciating her appearance on Khatron Ke Khiladi. Sumona shared that people, especially kids, were excited to see her take on daring stunts. “This year was a lot about how much they’re missing me in one particular show and yet on the other hand how much they loved seeing me on khatron ke khiladi. They felt like they were doing the stunts with me during the whole journey of KKK. The emotions, the fear, the love, the respect & so much more. Specially the kids. So many of them are kkk fans.,” she remarked. She also admitted that many were surprised to see her on such a show, as it wasn’t something they expected from her.
