Prakash Magdum has taken over as the Managing Director of the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC). A 1999-batch officer of the Indian Information Service, Magdum previously served as Additional Director General at the Press Information Bureau and Central Bureau of Communication in Ahmedabad.
He has also held key roles as Director of the National Film Archive of India (NFAI), Registrar of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), and spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence in Thiruvananthapuram. During his tenure at NFAI, Magdum played a significant role in advancing the National Film Heritage Mission through preservation and restoration efforts.
