Martin Scorsese comes on board as Executive Producer for Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor's Homebound

Martin Scorsese is one of cinema’s most celebrated filmmakers, known for his intense, character-driven stories and masterful direction. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he’s delivered iconic films like Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed , Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street, and The Irishman.The celebrated filmmakers has now come on board for Neeraj Ghaywan directorial venture Homebound. The film stars Ishaan Khattar,Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa. The film is set to be screened at Cannes Film Festival next month.

Talking about the collaboration, Martin Scorsese said, “I have seen Neeraj’s first film Masaan in 2015 and I loved it, so when Mélita Toscan du Plantier sent me the project of his second film, I was curious. I loved the story, the culture and was willing to help. Neeraj has made a beautifully crafted film that’s a significant contribution to Indian cinema. I am glad the movie is an official selection at Un Certain Regard in Cannes this year”
