Digvijay Singh Rathee, known for his reality show stints, recently walked as a show opener for Bombay Times Fashion Walk. "Walking the ramp was never just a dream. It was a need to prove something to myself. And today, being a showstopper felt like a personal triumph," Digvijay who was last seen in Bigg Boss 18.
"Me walking on a ramp has always been a dream," Digvijay reveals, tracing his journey back to college days. "I used to work back in college for like college-based pageants and all. And then I was my college modeling team president. There used to be different colleges coming from entire India and we used to compete. I was the president of my college modeling team. So, it was a dream to walk for Bombay Times. Last time when I came (as an audience for Bombay Times Fashion Week Winter edition) I was like, I have to walk here, not just as model, but probably as a showstopper. So today was the day and I was like another dream coming true.”
Digvijay has been part of multiple reality TV shows like Roadies and Splitsvilla, but does he wish to get out of the reality show phase? “I'm at a situation where I am figuring out what I really want. I would like to travel the world. That was one of my dreams. And doing these three shows was a dream. But it will depend on situations and what kind of positioning is happening. That will be more important going forward. Talking about acting, I want to get into acting, but not like if I get an offer and I will do it. I need to be sure that I'm gonna do well then only I'm going to get into it. Otherwise not,” he explains.
Rumours are rife that he may do Khatron Ke Khiladi but he clarifies that he hasn’t been offered the show yet. “I am not sure. I have not got the offer yet. Also, with my past experiences with the reality show world, I really don't know. It really depends on the situation, how it's coming,” he states.
He admits his past experiences on reality shows have changed his mindset. “Going forward if I participate in a reality show, the mindset will be very different. Earlier it used to be like I'm going all in, I have to win, I have to give my best. Now I'm going to go, I'll be there just to enjoy and live my life,” he explains.
Talking about his journey, he admits, it’s been upside down. “it's been a long journey, lot many ups and downs. I learned a lot, and had many out of the world experiences. I've had experiences, feelings. I honestly believe that I live for feelings right now and experiences more than money and everything else. I am going to strive for greatness now,” he concludes.
