Debinna Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary’s elder daughter, Lianna, recently celebrated her third birthday with a fun-filled party, but one notable absence left fans curious—Gurmeet himself. In her latest vlog, Debinna addressed the reason behind her husband missing the special celebration, revealing that he had to be hospitalised due to food poisoning just a day before the event.
Debinna explained, “We didn’t invite the parents. It was a drop-and-pick-up-your-kids kind of party. But a day before the event, Gurmeet fell seriously ill due to food poisoning. He was also supposed to fly to Delhi for an event, but his condition worsened and he had to be hospitalised. Even the kids went to see him. Eventually, he had to skip both the party and the Delhi event. Thankfully, he has now recovered and is back home.”
The party itself was hosted a few days after Lianna’s actual birthday, giving Debinna time to plan a memorable day for their little one. On social media, the actress penned a heartfelt birthday note for her daughter, reminiscing about the beautiful journey of motherhood.
“Three years ago, you came into my world and turned it upside down—in the most magical way possible,” Debinna wrote. She shared emotional memories of Lianna’s early days, from her giggles to her non-stop energy, calling it a rollercoaster of thoughts and emotions.
Debinna also reflected on how motherhood has changed her. “Trying to understand you is like learning to understand myself all over again,” she said, adding that her daughter has helped her grow into a more patient, loving, and emotionally aware person.
Despite Gurmeet’s absence, the celebration was filled with love—and a reminder of the strength and resilience that binds this beautiful family.
