BBC fans have hailed a new series as "chilling" and "harrowing" as another episode is set to broadcast tonight (Tuesday 24 June).
Murder 24/7 has made a return to BBC Two and iPlayer this month, leaving viewers "hooked". The harrowing true crime series will include six episodes and follow real life murder investigations.
It follows the West Mercia Police in the Midlands, following murder investigations as they unfold. After its premiere in 2020, the first series won over fans as it shadowed officers at Essex Police.
And returning to screens now, the current season delves into a spate of chilling murders, including a delivery man brutally murdered in daylight.
Additionally, a mother and daughter are also found stabbed. Meanwhile, in Telford, officers investigate the case of a son who murdered his mother, investigating his actions before the fatal assault, reports Birmingham Live.

And fans have been taking to social media to share their views on the series. One fan said: "I'm hooked on Murder 24/7! !".
Another wrote: "This documentary won't be for everybody, but tonight's episode truly demonstrates the horrors of domestic abuse. Chilling and heartbreaking."
A third added: "Murder 24/7 is a police documentary Masterpiece. The videography and storyline is masterfully curated. I didn't know I would enjoy it as much as I did."
A fourth commented: "Murder 24/7 fascinating stuff. Quality program."
The gripping series makes its return to BBC Two tonight at 9pm. This evening's instalment delves into the aftermath of a harrowing double stabbing in Worcester that claimed the life of Wendy Francis and left her daughter Stacey Hill fighting for her life.
Viewers will watch as partner Damian Homer is taken into custody but continues to claim he acted in self defence. Stacey has survived and now she's recovered enough to speak to police and offer her own account.
Wednesday will also see the final episode of the series where police will launch an investigation after a man attacks his mother and kills her while leaving his father hospitalised.
Detectives investigate his behaviour leading up to the attack and wait for a psychological assessment before they can begin to interview him.
Murder 24/7 can be watched on BBC Two at 9pm.
