Strictly Come Dancing fans call for change just minutes into show as they issue complaint

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left less than impressed within moments of the live show as they shared their reaction regarding the revamped format.

The BBC dance extravaganza made its grand return to our screens on this evening (October 26), delivering yet another episode. As tension mounted, the celebrity contestants pulled out all the stops in an intense fight to remain in the competition.

For this week's Halloween special, the couples have thrown themselves into extravagantly themed dances and outfits. Reality TV's Pete Wicks donned The Joker's infamous get-up, with his dance partner Jowita Przysta embodying Harley Quinn.

Alternatively, EastEnders' Jamie Borthwick and professional Michelle Tsiakkas underwent a transformation into the iconic Wednesday and Pugsley Addams.

The judges weren't left behind in the Halloween craze, fully embracing the holiday spirit. Audiences witnessed Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke channelling the Shining twins, Motsi Mabuse slipping into the role of Cruella de Vill, and Shirley Ballas reviving Winifred Sanderson, reports .

Yet, even with all the razzle-dazzle unfolding, those tuning in from home didn't hesitate to voice their discontent over the programme's introductory segment, quickly taking to Xpreviously known as Twitterto share their instant feedback.

One particularly disgruntled fan voiced: "Can they please stop doing these stupid intros. They're beyond embarrassing for all involved #Strictly."

One viewer ranted: "Please please please stop with Tess and Claudia just standing there." Another disgruntled fan commented: "I still despise the opening to the show."

A fourth critic chimed in: "Why do they have to do the acting stuff at the start now! It's so boring."

It comes as host Claudia Winkleman recently revealed the heartbreaking reason why she refuses to wear Halloween costumes.

The star tirelessly campaigned to make Halloween costumes safer after her daughter Matilda fell victim to a terrible injury nine years ago. Matilda, now 18, was eight years old when the witch costume she was wearing went up in flames after she brushed against a candle.

Speaking to Daily Mail Claudia recalled the moment: "I don't like Halloween because a few years ago it turned out our screams were real. She 'went up' is the only way I can describe it - it was a spark and she screamed out for me. It was like those horrific birthday candles that you blow out and they come back. It was really fast. It was definitely life-changing for me."
