Royal fans were delighted after they caught a glimpse of a rarely seen royal last weekend. King Charles attended the Mey Highland Games in Caithness, Scotland, on Saturday, and he was joined by two members of his extended family, including his "very special cousin", Lady Sarah Chatto.
Lady Sarah is the late Princess Margaret's only daughter and shares a close bond with the monarch. She donned a striped dress with a white t-shirt underneath and a magenta cardigan on top. Also in attendance was Lady Sarah's eldest son, Samuel, who brought his girlfriend, Eleanor Ekserdjian, with him.
Royal fans were quick to spot the King's cousin and took to social media to praise her appearance.
One user wrote on Instagram: "So pleased we get to see some photos of Sarah, she is fabulous."
A second one wrote: "I love her and love that she and Charles are still close."
Another one said of her outfit: "Pretty striped dress. Looks comfortable and appropriate for the event. The magenta sweater surprisingly looks good w it."
A fourth one said on X: "She's one of my favourites. She always looks impeccably dressed. Classic British aristocratic style."
A fifth one added: "She was always there for her aunt, our late Queen and has supported her cousins when needed. So much respect for this real Lady quietly living her life in the background."
During a reception earlier this summer at St James's Palace, the King praised his cousin during a speech for the 25th anniversary of the Royal Drawing School.
The monarch, who co-founded the school in 2000 with artist Catherine Goodman, said: "I can't resist saying a few very small words because above all, I wanted to pay a very special tribute to darling Catherine who, can you believe it, it all goes back really to when my very special cousin, Sarah [Chatto], and Catherine were young 18-year-old students at Camberwell School of Art and used to come bouncing into my room. I remember that was where it all started."
