PlayStation Plus subscribers are just hours away from being able to play the next batch of Extra and Premium games for July 2025.
The majority of the Extra and Premium games have a July 15 release date for PS4 and PS5. There are, however, two exceptions, with Cyberpunk 2077 joining the library last week, while brand new release Abiotic Factor comes to PS Plus Extra on July 22.
The addition of Cyberpunk 2077 and Abiotic Factor has seen PS Plus gain a rare win over Xbox Game Pass for the month of July.
The games coming on July 15 aren't quite on the same level as Cyberpunk and Abiotic Factor, but there are some decent titles.
PS Plus Extra subscribers will be able to play Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Bluey: The Videogame, Planet Zoo, Risk of Rain 2, Tropico 6 and New World: Aeternum.
Risk of Rain 2 is the pick of the bunch, earning an impressive 85% score on Metacritic and a Very Positive score on Steam.
Risk of Rain 2 is a shooter with roguelike elements, featuring a unique scaling system and hundreds of items that can be combined for different effects.
Developer Hopoo Games explains more: "Over a dozen handcrafted locales await, each packed with challenging monsters and enormous bosses that oppose your continued existence.
"Fight your way to the final boss and escape or continue your run indefinitely to see just how long you can survive. A unique scaling system means both you and your foes limitlessly increase in power over the course of a game."
Elsewhere, new PS Plus Premium releases include vehicular combat games Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4.
The timing couldn't be better, because the second season of the Twisted Metal TV show makes its debut on July 31.
Unfortunately, however, it's not all good news, because some pretty decent games are leaving the service on the same day.
Games leaving PS Plus Extra on July 15 include Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, the excellent Remnant 2 and Dying Light 2: Stay Human.
Other games leaving PS Plus Extra include Job Simulator, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord and Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong.
Consider this your last chance warning to play the aforementioned games before they leave PS Plus Extra.
