One Tree Hill cast now as Netflix reboot issues huge announcement

Since its debut in 2003, One Tree Hill has consistently captivated audiences worldwide with its lovable characters and compelling storylines.

The cherished teen drama was set in the fictitious North Carolina town of Tree Hill, focusing on two half-brothers whose fierce rivalry unfolded both on the basketball court and in the school hallways.

As the series evolved, unexpected relationships blossomed among the characters as they grappled with the ups and downs of small-town adolescence.

Fans were therefore thrilled when it was reported that One Tree Hill would be returning to streaming giant Netflix for a reboot, with production potentially starting this year, as per executive producer Jensen Ackles.

As the sequel series takes shape, fans may be curious about what the original One Tree Hill cast are up to now. So, let's catch up with the cast in 2025, reports the Mirror US.

Before his stint on One Tree Hill, Chad Michael Murray had already won over teenage hearts with roles in Gilmore Girls, Dawson's Creek, A Cinderella Story and Freaky Friday.

In the CW drama, Chad took centre stage as Lucas Scott, the outsider turned basketball star, who was involved in several gripping storylines before he left the show at the conclusion of season six.

The actor has since featured in Sullivan's Crossing, Riverdale and Scream Queens. He's also lined up to reprise his role as Jake in the Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday.

Chad tied the knot with his Chosen co-star, Sarah Roemer, in 2015, and they have three children together.

James Lafferty is best known for his role as the rebellious basketball player and Lucas' half-brother, Nathan Scott.

After finding his soulmate, Haley, audiences witnessed Nathan's transformation into a devoted husband and father over the course of the show's nine seasons.

Following the series finale in 2012, James featured in films such as Lost on Purpose and Small Town Crime. On television, he has starred in The Haunting of Hill House, Underground and Crisis.

In 2021, James teamed up with his OTH co-star Stephen Colletti, who played Chase Adams, to create and star in the Hulu comedy series Everyone is Doing Great.

James started dating The Royals star Alexandra Park after directing an episode of the series in 2015. The couple announced their engagement in September 2020 and exchanged vows in May 2022.

Bethany Joy Lenz portrayed girl next door, Haley James, who quickly became one half of the adored Naley couple when she fell for Nathan in the first season.

One Tree Hill fans quickly connected with Sophia Bush's character, Brooke Davis, as she navigated love and evolved from a popular high school girl to a successful businesswoman.

During her time on the show, Sophia secured roles in films such as John Tucker Must Die, The Narrows and Table for Three. She has since featured in Love, Victor, Good Sam, and portrayed Erin Lindsay in Chicago PD and across the rest of the Chicago franchise.
