The day has finally arrived, with head coach Andy Farrell poised to announce his touring squad for the summer trip to Australia. The most famous touring side in rugby union will head down under following a clash with Argentina in Dublin on June 20.
They'll play nine matches on tour, including a three-match Test series with the Wallabies. Farrell's squad is expected to be dominated by Irish players, although the 49-year-old now faces a huge call over his captain and whether or not to pick son Owen, now based with Racing 92 in France.
Regardless, there will be huge pressure on Farrell and his squad. The Lions have not won a series since their last visit to Australia 12 years ago, when they prevailed 2-1 under Warren Gatland.
