Cooking at home can be tricky, and if you're always finding your meals don't taste great, there's one common mistake you could be making. It can be hard to make tasty meals time after time if you're busy with work or other commitments. Cooking well at home consistently is not an easy challenge, but there might be an easy fix to make your food taste better.
Everyone makes mistakes when cooking at home, but if you don't realise where you're going wrong, it might be hard to make your dishes more delicious.

Luckily, Eat Smart has pointed out some of the most common kitchen blunders, and there's one which is very common.
It says: "Adding cold oil to a cold pan and topping with cold food can throw off texture and lead to gummy results.
"Follow this tip: Food should sizzle when it hits the pan. Be sure to adequately heat the pan and the oil before adding your ingredients."
By making sure your pan has heated up before you add your oil, you can ensure your meal maintains its texture and taste.
But this is not the only mistake it warns of...
It says overcrowding your pan with too much food can mean it doesn't cook in the way it is meant to.
Eat Smart says: "Overcrowding leads to soggy and unappealing meats and vegetables.
"Meat won't brown and vegetables won't crisp or caramelize if there isn't room for moisture to evaporate.
"Follow this tip: Give your food some space by either cooking in smaller batches or using more pans. Spreading the food out will give you the texture you're longing for."
By making sure you follow this tip, you can make sure your food is cooked properly and this will help your dishes taste better overall.
While these two tips might seem straightforward, they're easily forgotten when it comes to a rushed dinner time.
If you follow these tips, you'll no doubt see a noticeable difference in the quality of your meals.
