Alan Carr has pleaded with Paloma Faith for forgiveness after he betrayed her on Celebrity Traitors. The comedian, 49, is currently a Traitor on the BBC One programme and left viewers stunned when he "murdered" the songstress, who he is friends with, as part of the game. Viewers witnessed the lid close on the singer's coffin after her mate and funnyman Alan executed the murder in plain sight by touching her cheek and pretending she had something on it. The move ended Paloma's time on the show.
However, Alan was quick to contact Paloma in a playful post afterwards, reaching out as he humorously browsed a drinks menu, reports the Mirror. He remarked: "I could murder a paloma..." and wrote alongside the post: "Anyone thirsty? Love you @palomafaith #forgiveme." In her reply, Paloma responded: "Mine's too salty."
Shortly afterwards, pop star Paloma, 44, appeared with Ed Gamble on spin-off programme Uncloaked and was appalled to learn who the Traitors were. And after viewing the episode again, she rejected Alan's explanation that he had no alternative.
Paloma was astonished by Cat Burns and Jonathan Ross being amongst the trio, joking about Jonathan: "I'm happy to lose him as a friend."
Ed asked: "You didn't have any suspicions about Jonathan?"
She answered: "No, no suspicions, but he's obviously really, really studied. He's really good at it."
She was equally as shocked to discover that Cat was a Traitor. "I'm actually annoyed because she's on the same record label as me she should have some loyalty," she continued.
Paloma didn't hold back when it came to Alan either, saying after she had seen the episode: "I still maintain this day that if the shoe was on the other foot, I wouldn't have done that, so I don't think he should have done it to me and I'm surprised that he did.
"He had a choice, and it was not very nice."
However, she went on to say: "But he is extremely loveable and I've spoken to him since, and I do find forgiveness quite an easy thing, just as a person. So, I love him."
