During the BRICS summit held in Brazil, PM Modi said that we have to work together for responsible AI. To increase coordination among all the countries, we are going to organize the AI Impact Summit in India next year. We hope that all of you will actively contribute to making this summit a success.
Prime Minister Modi said, working on the mantra of 'AI for All', today India is actively and widely using AI in areas like agriculture, health, education, and governance. We believe that resolving concerns in AI governance and encouraging innovation should be given equal priority. There is a need to create global standards that can verify the authenticity of digital content, so that the content is not used for profit or as a weapon.
During BRICS, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gave advice to the big powers during the session organized on the topic of 'Strengthening Multilateralism, Economic-Financial Affairs and Artificial Intelligence'. He said, along with increasing cooperation in critical minerals and technology, we should focus on making their supply chains safe and resilient. We should ensure that no country uses them for its benefit or as a weapon.
The relevance of BRICS is increasing.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that PM Modi also gave many important messages to the whole world from this platform of the BRICS countries. Today, when the world order is feeling pressure from all sides, the world is going through many challenges and uncertainties. In such a situation, it is natural for the relevance and influence of BRICS to increase. We should together consider how BRICS can become the pioneer of a multipolar world in the times to come.
