The government's decision can be of great benefit to some private companies active in the defense sector. These include Baba Kalyani Group's company Bharat Forge, Tata Advanced System Limited, L&T and Adani Group companies. In fact, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the framework related to the development of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program. The special thing is that for the first time in this, companies from both private and government sectors will get equal opportunities to participate in the bid process for manufacturing 5.5 generation fighter jet prototypes. Earlier, only HAL i.e. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has been manufacturing fighter jets in the country, which has developed light fighter aircraft like Tejas.

Bharat Forge already provides trucks, artillery tanks and other military equipment to the Indian Army. Apart from this, Tata Advanced System and Adani Defense and Aerospace are also active in the manufacture of military equipment. At the same time, L&T Group also manufactures artillery guns and missile systems. With the approval of the government to join the fighter jet manufacturing program, the demand for military equipment of these companies can increase not only in the country but also abroad.
