Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant shared an emotional message following Team India’s defeat in the first Test against England at Leeds. Despite Pant’s outstanding performance, scoring centuries in both innings and becoming the first wicketkeeper to achieve this feat in England, India fell short, losing by five wickets. Along with some powerful photos posted on social media, Pant expressed that the team will feel the pain of the loss but remains confident about making a strong comeback.
In his post, Pant wrote, "We will feel the pain for a short time but we are confident that the team will make a great comeback." The disappointing aspect of the match was India’s fielding, with several crucial catches dropped, which allowed England’s batsmen to build pressure and ultimately take control of the game.
While Pant’s batting was praised widely, including KL Rahul’s solid contribution of 137 runs, their efforts were not enough to secure a win for India. Now, all eyes are on the second Test, starting on July 2, where Pant—still in excellent form—along with Rahul, will aim to deliver strong performances to prevent England from continuing their dominance in the series.
