Provision of creating two bar chartsThere is a provision in the railways to prepare the chart twice for the information of the passengers regarding berth confirmation. The first chart was prepared four hours before the departure of the train. The second chart was prepared approximately 30 minutes to 60 minutes before the departure of the train. The railways have only changed the time of preparing the first chart. According to the new rule, the first reservation chart for trains departing between 5 am and 2 pm will now be prepared at 9 pm the day before.
The first reservation chart for trains departing between 2 pm to 12 am and 12 am to 5 am will be prepared eight hours before the train departs.
