According to the Times of India report, the couple was caught while sitting near the window on the back seat. A vehicle passing by recorded their video. After this, this video went viral.

According to the report, a senior official of NMMT said that departmental action has been initiated against the bus conductor for failing to stop this act. According to the officials, 'The conductor has been warned and asked to explain in writing how such an obscene act happened while he was in the bus.' It was told that the conductor was sitting on the front seat and he had no idea about what was happening at the back.

RTI activist Anranit Chauhan, who raised this issue, said, 'On Sunday, the bus was going from Panvel to Kalyan and it was quite empty. Due to heavy traffic, the bus was moving slowly. Then someone from another vehicle outside the bus recorded the obscene act of the couple through the window. After this, the video was shared with the administration.'

'The couple should have thought about it'

When asked about the administration's response, Chauhan said, "The conductor has been questioned about this failure. Public transport is not meant for such things and, unfortunately, this happened."

However, it was impossible to talk to NMMC Commissioner Kailash Shinde about this. An administrative officer said, 'Although I do not look after the Transport Department directly, I feel that today's youth should think about how they should behave in public. Such obscene acts are illegal and unacceptable in public.'
