Asrani Demise: The death of renowned Jaipur actor Asrani has cast a pall of grief over the state. Numerous figures, including Prime Minister Modi, have paid tribute to Asrani. In Rajasthan, too, people are remembering his acting and paying tribute to him.
Jaipur: Famous actor Asrani passed away on Diwali in Mumbai. His death has shocked everyone. His passing has come as a shock not only to his millions of fans in the film industry, but also to many Rajasthani figures. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the late actor on Tuesday morning. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also paid tribute to the actor through an Instagram post. Asrani had been experiencing breathing problems for the past four to five days and was admitted to Mumbai's Arogya Nidhi Hospital, where he breathed his last on October 20th. Before leaving the world, Asrani wished everyone a Happy Diwali via Instagram.
Asrani was a resident of JaipurIt is noteworthy that after India's independence and the partition of India and Pakistan, Asrani's family settled in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. His father started a carpet business in Jaipur. However, due to his interest in acting, Asrani fled to Mumbai, where he appeared in numerous Bollywood films.

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also expressed condolences on Asrani's passing. In his post, he wrote, "The news of the passing of film actor and Jaipur resident Mr. Govardhan Asrani, who gained recognition with his role in Sholay, is saddening. The many roles he played during his film career will always be remembered."

Additionally, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, a member of the Modi Cabinet 3.0, expressed his condolences through an Instagram post. He wrote, "The film and art world has suffered a significant loss with the passing of actor Asrani, who brought characters to life with his acting. Comedy is considered the most difficult form of acting, and he excelled in it. May his soul rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences are sent to his family. We fans will miss him! Om Shanti!"
