As we edge closer to the eerie season, Phasmophobia, a game already known for its chills, is gearing up for its Halloween 2025 event, with a new ID Card and Badge on offer.
The Phasmophobia Crimson Eye Halloween 2025 event has been officially announced and will be part of this week's update, transforming select maps with a Blood Moon theme. Kinetic Games has been celebrating the spooky season in-game since 2022, but first introduced the Crimson Eye event last year.
The event followed shortly after the game's console debut, so many players should be familiar with the format as Crimson Eye returns.
However, it's not an exact replica of last year's Phasmophobia Halloween event, which tasked players with three community goals across just four maps, and only delivered rewards if you remembered to interact with the totem at HQ. If you neglected to do that, you missed out.
But don't worry! For the Phasmophobia Crimson Eye Halloween 2025 event, the rewards are automatically claimed for all players once the goals are achieved. Plus, last year's Blood Trophy is back up for grabs, although the ID Card and Badge was a one-time deal.
Get ready for some spooky rewards with the Phasmophobia Crimson Eye Halloween 2025 event. Here's everything you need to know about when it starts, how it works, and all the goodies you can unlock.

Phasmophobia Crimson Eye event start timeThe Phasmophobia Crimson Eye Halloween 2025 event is set to kick off on Thursday, October 9, likely around 3am PDT / 6am EDT / 11am BST / 12pm CEST. This follows the release times of the last three major updates – the five-year anniversary update last month, the Grafton Farmhouse rework in August, and June's Chronicle update.
Kinetic Games hasn't given a specific time in the blog post but it typically rolls out major updates between 10am UTC and 3pm UTC.
The Easter 2025 Cursed Hollow event update went live just after 7am PDT / 10am EDT / 3pm BST, so this is probably the latest release time for the Phasmophobia Crimson Eye Halloween 2025 event. We'll keep you posted as soon as the update goes live in-game.
The event will run for three weeks, wrapping up on Friday, October 31.
Phasmophobia Crimson Eye event rewards
In addition to the boosted 10% investigation bonus from Blood Moon weather, the Phasmophobia Crimson Eye Halloween 2025 event presents two Community and two Personal Goals with the following rewards:
- Community Goal 1: Receive the Child of the Cult ID Card & Badge set
- Community Goal 2: Receive the Blood Moon trophy
- Personal Goal 1: Receive the animated Child of the Cult ID Card
- Personal Goal 2: Upgrade the Crimson Eye trophy (can be completed 3 times)
Of course, if you already have the Blood Moon trophy unlocked from last year's event, you won't be receiving a second one.
The goals are linked to points earned from investigations on the event maps of the day, and if they're based on last year's scoring system, here's how it operates:
- Correctly ID ghosts: 10 Blood Moon points
- Complete optional objectives: 2 Blood Moon points per objective
- Photograph Blood Moon totems: 1 Blood Moon point per totem photo
Kinetic Games has yet to provide details on the points system or mention the totems that were scattered across the map last year, so keep in mind these specific details may not align with the Phasmophobia Crimson Eye Halloween 2025 event. We'll naturally update this information if the studio shares it, but for now, this is the points system detailed in the wiki for last year's event, which is what we have to go on for now.
And most crucially, to reiterate, these rewards will be automatically claimed once unlocked. You don't need to manually retrieve them from anywhere in-game.
Phasmophobia Crimson Eye event mapsThroughout the Phasmophobia Crimson Eye event this year, four of the seven maps below will be afflicted by the Blood Moon each day, rotating out daily.
- 6 Tanglewood Drive
- Camp Woodwind
- Grafton Farmhouse
- Bleasdale Farmhouse
- Point Hope
- 42 Edgefield Road
- 13 Willow Street
I wouldn't hold your breath for a surprise appearance from Nell's Diner just yet either, as Kinetic Games has been silent on that front since the announcement.
As always, there's still a random chance for Blood Moon weather to appear on non-active maps from the list above, as well as the rest of the game's maps that aren't hosting the Crimson Eye event.
