What's going on with my 'guys' and in some cases, 'gals'?
(Nope, hasn't stopped being funny yet.)
For a man who wants everyone to stop talking about Jeffrey Epstein, Donald Trump talks about Jeffrey Epstein an awful lot.
And his statements on the subject are starting to veer wildly off the rails.
The latest is that the Epstein files, which he seemed to confirm existed in some form or fashion, were a "HOAX".
And then he turned on his own supporters - or as he's now calling them, his "PAST supporters". Gulp.
Meanwhile, he gave a very wobbly speech about Artificial Intelligence.
Here's all that and more. Buckle up.
1. Trump says "credible" Epstein files should be released...then gives some very odd answersSpeaking outside the White House, Trump revealed he'd just been given a "very quick briefing" on the FBI and Justice Department's review of the Epstein files.
Attorney General Pam Bondi is under mounting pressure from MAGA supporters to release more documents relating to the dead paedophile, which they believe include a "client list" of prominent associates.
But Bondi has denied any such list exists - despite having said in an interview that it was "on my desk waiting for review".
Asked specifically whether he'd been told in the briefing that his name appears in the files, Trump said: "No, no, she's - she's given us just a very quick briefing.
"And in terms of the credibility of the different things that they've seen, and I would say that, you know, these files were made up by Comey, they were made up by Obama, they were made up by the Biden -- and you know, we and we went through years of that with the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, with all of the different things that we had to go through."
OK.
"We've gone through years of it, but she's handled it very well, and it's going to be up to her," Trump went on, referring to Bondi.
"Whatever she thinks is credible, she should release."
2. He'd really, really like it if we stop talking about Jeffrey Epstein now. ThanksLater, during his trip to talk about AI in Pittsburgh, more of which later, he reiterated his desire for everyone to stop talking about Jeffrey Epstein, please, if you don't mind.
"I don't understand it - why they would be so interested. He's dead for a long time. He was never a big factor in terms of life. I don't understand what the interest or what the fascination is. I really don't and the credible information has been given," he said.
"But I don't understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody. It's pretty boring stuff. It's sordid, but it's boring, and I don't understand why it keeps going.
"I think really only pretty bad people, including fake news, want to keep something like like that going. But credible information, let them give it. Anything that's credible, I would say, let them have it."
OK.

3. Then he turned on his supporters and started ranting about a "hoax"He then went on to post about the "Epstein Hoax" on his Truth Social platform - and took aim at his "past supporters" - saying he doesn't want the support of anyone still demanding the release of the Epstein files.
"The Radical Left Democrats have hit pay dirt, again!," he wrote.
"Just like with the FAKE and fully discredited Steele Dossier, the lying 51 "Intelligence" Agents, the Laptop from Hell, which the Dems swore had come from Russia (No, it came from Hunter Biden's bathroom!), and even the Russia, Russia, Russia Scam itself, a totally fake and made up story used in order to hide Crooked Hillary Clinton's big loss in the 2016 Presidential Election, these Scams and Hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at - It's all they have - They are no good at governing, no good at policy, and no good at picking winning candidates.
"Also, unlike Republicans, they stick together like glue. Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this "bulls**t," hook, line, and sinker.
"They haven't learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.
"I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country's history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.
"Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don't even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don't want their support anymore!"
4. Even on Trump's own social network this has gone down exceptionally poorly.A sample of some of the replies to the above post...
"You have know idea how big of a mistake you're making with these posts.
"You're destroying your legacy and the entire MAGA party with one stand, EPSTEIN CASE = DEEP STATE which you swore to drain. They HURT CHILDREN. You & your admin need to course correct on this ASAP."
And another:
"Everybody OPEN YOUR EYES! Even if @realDonaldTrump is innocent, he’s letting sex offenders get away free by blocking justice from being served. Really ask yourself, why is he so adamant about keeping these details from the public? In a matter of days he has convinced you that this is a non-issue, and you’d be stupid to think otherwise. He is desperately (and obviously) trying to save his own ass."
And another:
"People you nominated for your own administration talked about Epstein for years. Now you're saying it never was, without giving us the proof? And you don't want the support of your full base simply because they don't believe what you do?
And one more while we're here:
"We love you but this is WRONG. Release the list. Let the cards fall where they will. We don't believe there isn't a list"
5. Trump gave a speech that even by his standards was a bit wobblyDonald Trump giving a speech at a conference about Artificial Intelligence was always a bit risky.
But his 'weave' at the event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania went entirely off the rails.
He went on a long tear about his uncle, Dr John Trump, whom he claimed had been the longest serving professor at revered American University MIT. He was not.
He also claimed Theodore Kaczynski, better known as the Unabomber - a lone bomber who terrorised the US for nearly two decades, planting bombs that killed three people and evading capture until 1996 - had been a student of his uncle.
Kaczynski did not go to MIT. He went to Harvard and University of Michigan.
Then he claimed to have talked to his uncle about Kaczynski. Again, unlikely, given Dr John Trump died in 1985, 11 years before Kaczynski was caught.
Donald Trump is the oldest person ever to be inaugurated President.

6. Is Trump applying makeup to his hand? There have long been questions about apparent bruising on President Trump's hand.
Well, a sneaky photographer took a close-up of the offending appendage yesterday...and is that make-up?
Mike Johnson, an unusual man, often says nice things about Donald Trump. But during an event yesterday he slipped into religious cult fantasy fan fiction.
"God miraculously saved the president's life - I think it's undeniable," he said.
"And he did it for an obvious purpose. His presidency and his life are the fruits of divine providence. He points that out all the time and he's right to do so."
