EA FC 25 servers down as EA confirms maintenance window – here's when you can get back online

Send Push

It's time for a new bout of downtime for EA FC 25, and though players were completely blindsided by its arrival, the outage period won't be too long.

EA FC 25 is no stranger to downtime, as we know, but it seems that it’s getting a little less charitable with it this time around. As players brace for the incoming Futties promo after the major launch of Shapeshifters Team 4, players have plenty to get stuck into in the game, even as the middle of the year flies past and fans start to look to the future of the franchise, whenever that may arrive. We’re entering a period which will likely see some players disengage before the new game appears, but that doesn’t mean that EA isn’t fighting for your attention, especially with all of the promos it has been throwing out recently.

There’s more to come, though, as EA FC has dunked its most recent title under some downtime with very little notice, and has boxed players out of matchmaking for the length of it. It’s not really a great look, as even though downtime is par for the course with games that run on a live service, they’re usually a little better signposted than this downtime was.

So what’s up with this EA FC 25 downtime? And when will it end? Here’s what you need to know about the current EA FC 25 downtime.

EA FC 25 servers down and when maintenance ends

The EA FC 25 server downtime began at 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 9am BST on Wednesday, July 9, and is scheduled to end at 2.30am PDT / 5.30am EDT / 10.30am BST, with the downtime set to last an hour and a half in total. This has been revealed by a

from EA Sports FC Direct, which confirmed that the downtime is set to affect only EA Sports FC 25 on all platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

"We have a maintenance on July 09, 08:00 to 09:30 UTC," said the tweet.

"During this time, you may be disconnected or unable to access online services. Match creation will be disabled 30 min before the maintenance. Titles affected: EA SPORTS FC 25 on all platforms."

The tweet came with less than an hour’s notice, and as it deactivated match creation 30 minutes before the downtime began, it’s likely that players were blindsided by this. It’s not ideal, but at the very least, we can expect some proper maintenance to take place during this time, and hopefully get some bug fixes out of it too.

The last EA FC 25 server downtime happened less than a month ago and lasted a good four hours in total, so this one is relatively short, thank goodness.
