Drivers with and have been warned by police. There's been a sharp spike in thefts of these cars across one part of the UK, with new stats showing a staggering rise in the last year.
The two models have risen up the list of most , prompting police chiefs to issue a stark warning to owners - keep your eyes peeled and ramp up your car's security. While Fords still top the charts as the most stolen vehicles, they've actually seen a slight drop in thefts by one per cent from the previous year.
But it's a different story for Toyota and Nissan owners, who've been hit with a jaw-dropping 75 per cent and 59 per cent increase in thefts respectively.

And it's not just them – Jaguar drivers also need to be wary, with thefts of their luxury rides jumping by 70p per cent even if the total numbers are smaller.
The most stolen cars in the West Midlands in 2024 have been revealed, and it's clear that thieves are targeting specific brands, reports .
and Crime Commissioner Simon Foster said: "When a person's car is stolen, it causes significant distress and inconvenience.
"It is therefore essential, that everything is being done to prevent and tackle vehicle crime.
"We have known for some time now, that thieves are using ever more sophisticated methods, to circumvent car security features and that some vehicles, are still capable of being stolen in seconds.
"I am continuing to hold West Midlands Police to account, to ensure they are doing everything within their power, to prevent and tackle car crime, bring offenders to justice and recover vehicles - but we also need manufacturers to ensure that car security features are fit for purpose and a top priority, so that as far as possible, we can prevent cars being stolen in the first place."
