Aston Merrygold rushed to hospital as JLS star shares ambulance snap

Aston Merrygold has been rushed to the hospital, he's revealed. The musician who shot to fame on The X Factor took to his Instagram Stories to share a collection of selfies taken in the back of an ambulance.

37-year-old Aston was hooked to an intravenous line as he was strapped to a stretcher while on board the emergency vehicle. "It's been an interesting 13 hours," he commented. One image saw Aston lying with a pair of sunglasses on, while a second saw a sticky tab on the back of his hand as he put his thumb up for the selfie.

The Beat Again hitmaker hasn't disclosed the reasoning behind his hospital admission nor why he required an ambulance.
