Fintech-focussed AI SaaS startup Pascal AI Labs has raised $3.1 Mn (about INR 26 Cr) in its seed funding round led by Kalaari Capital. The round also saw participation from Norwest Venture Partners, Info Edge Ventures, Antler along with other angel investors.

The Bengaluru-based startup plans to deploy the fresh capital to build its autonomous investment research workflows, expand into the US market, and strengthen data partnerships.

Founded in 2024 by ex-Mobile Premier League CPO Vibhav Viswanathan and ex-Apna head of product Mithun Madhusudan, Pascal AI Labs builds AI agents specifically for finance and investment professionals. Their software helps with automating and accelerating financial research, deal diligence, data extraction, modelling, and insight generation.

Its platform uses AI agents to analyse financial documents of companies to extract KPIs and update financial models and detects “red flags” that help flag mis-pricing. It claims to provide data on more than 16,000 public companies across 27 markets, supporting enterprise-grade requirements such as on-premise deployment and role-based permissions.

The startup claims that its platform is already deployed by more than 25 financial firms across the U.S. and APAC, including $2 Bn private equity funds and a top-three global asset manager with over $1 Tn in assets under management.

“This funding allows us to move beyond workflow automation to true autonomy, and give analysts instant, auditable insights and CIOs a continuously updated view of exposures and performance,” CEO Viswanathan said in a statement.

Pascal’s funding comes at a time when fintech is emerging as the most attractive space for GenAI investments. Instead of broad, one-size-fits-all AI tools, investors are increasingly backing specialised platforms built for specific industries such as financial services.

Notable rounds include AbleCredit, an AI-led fintech building credit automation workflows, which is in talks to raise $5 Mn in Series A funding and iTuring.ai, which recently secured $5 Mn from Dallas Venture Capital and Mela Ventures for its no-code BFSI AI platform.

Further, OnFinance, Febi.ai, and Jhana AI also closed significant early-stage rounds in fintech-focused GenAI solutions.
