Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Shahar Qazi Isharat Ali has strongly condemned Sonam’s alleged involvement in the murder of her husband, calling it a reflection of deep-rooted issues in family upbringing.
He said that when families fail to instill values and discipline in their children, the consequences can be disastrous. "Parenting is not just about giving birth, but about nurturing character," he added.
According to him, Sonam’s actions have tarnished the reputation of Indore and shown how a lack of moral guidance can lead to such heinous crimes.

Congress corporator Rubina Iqbal Khan also reacted with outrage, saying Sonam’s actions have not only brought disgrace to her own name but also to the entire city. "She destroyed the meaning of trust and marriage," Khan said. She demanded the harshest punishment, likening it to the Taliban’s methods—public flogging followed by execution. “Her name means gold, but she acted like coal—burning down her own home,” she added.
Khan further said that this incident would create fear in families while arranging marriages. "Marriage is a sacred bond, and such acts shake people’s faith in it," she said. She also expressed her desire to confront Sonam, demand an explanation for her actions and slap her.
