Mumbai: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city is set to experience overcast weather with heavy rains today on July 3. In Maharashtra, rainfall intensity remains strong in the Konkan and Ghat areas, leading to an orange alert being issued for these regions, while a yellow alert is noted in Nashik and Madhya Maharashtra. The Ghat regions of Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Satara, and Kolhapur will experience the most severe rainfall.

Mumbai is expected to have cloudy weather and intermittent heavy rains, with similar conditions anticipated in Thane and suburban areas. Forecasts indicate a rise in monsoon activity in Konkan and Ghat regions beginning July 6, with increased rainfall expected in parts of Vidarbha and North Marathwada.

Mumbai is experiencing light rain with a temperature of 28°C, precipitation is at 60% and humidity is 82%, with winds blowing at 26 km/h, as of 9 am. The weather forecast for Thursday at 8:00 am shows ongoing light rain. The temperature remains consistently around 28-29°C throughout the day, with slight fluctuations to 27°C in the evening and night.

The Meteorological Department indicates a cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand, with a low-pressure area from southeast Rajasthan to the Bay of Bengal, causing diverse rainfall patterns. Skymet forecasts light to moderate rain across various regions including Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and southern states.
