Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra believes that Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah would be the best cricketer to succeed in javelin throw. During a recent conversation on Star Sports with Navjot Singh Sidhu, Neeraj was asked which Indian cricketer he thinks could perform well in javelin. Without hesitation, he named Bumrah.
"Mujhe lagta hai ki koi fast bowler hi hoga. Jab proper fitness ke saath honge toh Jasprit Bumrah," said Neeraj. (I think it would be a fast bowler. So, I think a fully fit Jasprit Bumrah will be good at it.)

Bumrah has been in great form lately. He recently took his 14th five-wicket haul in a Test match against England at Headingley. His powerful bowling action and sharp control have made him one of the best bowlers in the world, and now even a javelin champion sees potential in him beyond cricket.
Neeraj himself is in top form this season. He recently won gold at the Ostrava Golden Spike event with a throw of 85.29 metres. Even more impressively, he broke the 90-metre barrier for the first time at the Doha Diamond League with a throw of 90.23 metres.
This light-hearted comment from Neeraj Chopra shows how athletic skills can sometimes cross over from one sport to another. While Jasprit Bumrah is known for his cricketing brilliance, Neerajโs praise highlights his all-round athletic ability. Whether or not Bumrah ever picks up a javelin, itโs clear that heโs earned respect from one of Indiaโs finest athletes.

This funny conversation was also an important moment. Together, Rohit and Surya made a strong 73-run partnership. Rohit scored 57 runs and Surya made 47. Thanks to their efforts, India scored 171 runs. Later, India bowled out England for just 103 runs and won the match by 68 runs.
That win took India to the final, where they defeated South Africa and won the T20 World Cup after 17 years. Rohit also retired from T20 Internationals after the win. He played 159 T20 matches, scored over 4,200 runs, and ended on a high by lifting the World Cup trophy.
This funny moment with Surya showed how Rohit uses humour and strong leadership even during big matches. It was a reminder of why heโs one of the best captains in Indian cricket history.
