MP April 17 Weather Update: Temperature Breaches 40°C In 9 Districts; Heavy Rain In Dhar-Pandhunrna

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): As the system of hailstorm and storm weakened, the effect of heat has increased in Madhya Pradesh. In the capital Bhopal, umbrellas have come out to protect from the sun.

Whereas, in Indore, wedding processions are going out under tents. According to the Meteorological Department, Malwa-Nimar i.e. Indore-Ujjain division is the hottest.

Hot winds have also increased the problems of people in Gwalior and Chambal divisions.

On Wednesday, the day temperature crossed 40 degrees in 9 cities of the state. These include Ratlam, Narmadapuram, Khandwa, Shajapur, Khargone, Narsinghpur, Ujjain, Dhar and Guna. Ratlam was the hottest. Where the temperature was recorded at 42.6 degrees.

The mercury was 41.6 degrees in Narmadapuram, 41.5 degrees in Khandwa, 41.1 degrees in Shajapur and 41 degrees in Khandwa-Narsinghpur. The mercury reached 40.7 degrees in Ujjain, 40.4 degrees in Dhar and 40.3 degrees in Guna.

The weather department has predicted that most parts of the state will be affected by heat on Thursday. The mercury may also rise in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior and Jabalpur.

Heavy rainfall in some parts of state

On Wednesday, the state experienced rain along with heat. There was heavy rain for half an hour in the evening in Manawar of Dhar. Rain occurred in Pandhurna as well.

The weather changed in Khargone, Balaghat, Seoni, Mandla, Barwani, Burhanpur and Betul at night.
