Deepika Padukone and Sandeep Reddy Vanga have been making to headlines because of the Spirit controversy. Reportedly, Deepika opted out of the film as she demanded an 8-hour work shift because she is a new mother, and the filmmaker didn't agree to it. Many Bollywood celebrities have reacted to this, and recently, in an interview with India Today, Sonakshi Sinha also spoke about it.
While talking about the eight hour shift for actresses, Sonakshi said, “I am all for it.” Further talking about Deepika's exit, she said, “I don't even know if it's true or not. But if it is, it's a very fair reason.”

Sonakshi revealed that she has worked with male actors who don't work for more than eight hours, so she doesn't see why it should be different for female actors.

The Dabangg actress also stated that if she is doing a film which requires her to be extremely fit so she needs two hours to go to the gym, and if she on the sets of 12 to 14 hours, she won't be able to work out.
However, the actress said, “If I don't need to do that, I'll give you 12 hours happily. I'll give you 10 hours happily. But where it's not required, then I'm sure adjustments can be made.”

Nikita Roy Release Date
Meanwhile, Sonakshi will next be seen Nikita Roy which is directed by her brother Kussh Sinha. The supernatural thriller is slated to release on June 27, 2025. The movie also stars Paresh Rawal, Suhail Nayyar, and Arjun Rampal.
