4. If you want, you can drink sherbet on the day of fasting. It is the summer season, so you will feel thirsty. In such a situation, you can also take watery fruits like cucumber, watermelon, and coconut water. You should drink enough water or buttermilk, this will keep the energy in the body.

What not to eat in Vat Savitri fast?
1. In Vat Savitri fast, women should not eat meat, eggs, fish, etc., a day before and on the day of fasting.
2. Tamasic things like garlic, onion, alcohol, paan, gutkha, cigarette, etc., should not be consumed on that day.
3. Do not eat any kind of grain on the day of the fast. If you consume grain, the fast will be broken.
4. In many areas, the consumption of salt is prohibited in this fast.
5. Stale food and fried food from outside are forbidden in this fast. There is a fear of stomach upset due to this.
6. In this fast, the fasting person should avoid fried snacks, spicy food, or junk food.

Keep these things in mind in Vat Savitri Vrat.
1. Some women keep a Nirjala fast, in which nothing is eaten or drunk the whole day. If you are keeping a Nirjala fast, then consume good water and other liquids before starting the fast.
2. Do not go out in the sun and do not do any heavy work. This can tire the body and cause weakness. You may fall ill due to this.
3. If you have any health problems like diabetes, weakness, etc., then there is no compulsion to follow the difficult rules of the fast. Observe the fast with purity of mind, action and words.
