Amid the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is in trouble. This T20 league being held in Rawalpindi includes six franchises and is in its final stage. It is to conclude in Lahore on May 18. Meanwhile, news is coming that some England players are planning to return home.

Players are worried!
News agency PTI on Thursday quoted a report from 'The Telegraph' that after the attack by the Indian armed forces on Wednesday morning, English players are divided on whether they should stay in Pakistan and play cricket or not. The report further said that on Wednesday, the England and Wales Cricket Board made an emergency call. During this, the board took full information about the situation from the Pakistan Cricket Board. According to the report, the board has not advised the players to return home. At the same time, most of the players are currently planning to stay in Pakistan, while some want to return home.
Seven players from England are playing in the PSL.
Seven players from England are seen playing in the PSL. These include James Vince, Tom Curran, Sam Billings, Chris Jordan, David Willey, Luke Wood, and Tom Kohler-Cadmore. At the same time, England coach Ravi Bopara and Alexandra Hartley have also been seen playing an important role in this edition of the PSL.
PCB calls emergency meeting to decide on PSL
The Pakistan Cricket Board, upset by the Indian military attacks, has called an emergency meeting to discuss stopping the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as it also involves many foreign players. This T20 league being held in Rawalpindi includes six franchises and is in its final stages. It is scheduled to conclude in Lahore on May 18. A reliable source in the board told PTI that the PCB will follow the government's advice about continuing the league and will discuss on Thursday. The source said- 'The situation will be reviewed in the meeting due to the drone attacks carried out by India in Punjab province since Wednesday.'
PSL Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Salman Naseer also met the foreign players in Rawalpindi and assured them that they have nothing to worry as the PCB is closely monitoring the situation. The league features some big international players like David Warner (Karachi Kings), Jason Holder (Islamabad United) and Rassie van der Dussen (Islamabad United).
