Fans have been waiting for the OTT release of "Mahavatar Narasimha" for quite some time. Now, the wait is over. "Mahavatar Narasimha" will stream on Netflix starting today, September 19th. The film will stream on Netflix starting at 12:30 PM IST today. Netflix India's official X account shared the film's poster in a new post, captioning it, "Devotion will transform into power. Mahaavatar Narasimha is coming."
The film was a box office hit. "Mahavatar Narasimha," directed by Ashwin Kumar, was released in theaters on July 25th. Made on a very low budget, this film proved to be a surprise hit. There wasn't much buzz or expectations surrounding the film, but upon its release, word-of-mouth gradually benefited the film, making it a blockbuster at the box office.
"Mahavatar Narasimha" is the first film in the Mahaavatar Cinematic Universe.
Produced by Hombale Films, "Mahavatar Narasimha" is based on the story of Prahlada and the rise of Mahaavatar Narasimha. This film is the first film in the seven-part Mahaavatar Cinematic Universe, based on the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. It narrates the exploits of Lord Vishnu's Narasimha avatar and the story of Prahlada. Upcoming films in the franchise include "Mahavatar Parashurama" (2027), "Mahavatar Raghunandana" (2029), "Mahavatar Dhavadesh" (2031), "Mahavatar Gokulananda" (2033), and "Mahavatar Kalki" (2035-2037).
