An Akasa Air flight flying from Pune to Delhi experienced a bird hit on Friday, an airline spokesperson said. Flight QP 1607 landed safely, while all the passengers and crew members were deplaned.
The aircraft is being examined by the engineering team in accordance with the airline's standard operating procedures and will be released for service after a thorough inspection, the spokesperson said in a statement.
The flight, being operated as Boeing 737 MAX8 aircraft, landed in Delhi little past 10 am on Friday, according to information available on flight tracking website Flightradar24.com.
The aircraft was scheduled to fly from Delhi to Go later in day but was delayed by a few hours as another plane was deployed for the route, PTI reported.
Details regarding the number of passengers were not disclosed.
