Dipika Kakar's tennis ball sized tumour
It all began when Dipika started experiencing stomach pain and flu-like symptoms. A series of medical tests at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital revealed a tennis ball-sized tumour in her liver. The diagnosis came as a shock: stage 2 malignant cancer. Due to chest congestion and persistent cold and cough, doctors initially advised postponing the surgery as it posed an additional risk. However, with her condition stabilizing, doctors have finally given the green light for the procedure.

In a deeply emotional note posted on social media, Dipika acknowledged the gravity of the diagnosis but also expressed her determination to fight. She called the past few weeks one of the most difficult periods of her life, but with the unwavering support of her family and fans, she’s ready to face it head-on.
