Due to a twin vortex, gusty winds with speeds of 30 to 50 km/hr will blow today. Thunderstorms with rain and winds up to 30 to 40 km/hr are expected in Kolkata and other districts. Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and winds of 40 to 50 km/hr are likely in Nadia, North & South 24 Parganas districts. Another axis extends from Northeast Bangladesh to Gujarat, passing over the low-pressure area in Bihar. The east-west axis extends from Pakistan through Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, over the low-pressure area in Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal to Assam.
