Patna (Bihar) [India], November 4 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Misa Bharti on Tuesday asserted that the youth of Bihar have made up their minds to elect Tejashwi Yadav as the next Chief Minister, emphasising that the party's campaign focuses on unemployment, inflation and women's welfare, in contrast to what she described as the ruling party's emphasis on "guns and rhetoric."
Speaking to ANI in Patna, Bharti said, "We are receiving tremendous support. Tejashwi is getting the support of Bihar's unemployed brothers because we are going into the elections on their issues. We are talking about the youth, women, inflation, and jobs."
Taking a swipe at the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Bharti accused the "double-engine government" of failing to deliver development despite being in power for nearly two decades.
"There has been a double-engine government since 2005. Everyone has seen Bihar's plight. Despite having a double-engine government, there is no factory, no means of employment, and migration is the highest," she said.

She further contrasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speeches with Tejashwi Yadav's poll agenda, saying, "The Prime Minister speaks about guns from the stage, while Tejashwi speaks about jobs, irrigation, education, medicine, and income."
Bharti claimed that people across the state, particularly the youth, are rallying behind Tejashwi Yadav's promise of employment and better governance as Bihar heads into the Assembly elections. The assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday took a dig at the Congress, accusing the party of halting Bihar's progress whenever in power and asserting that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) alone has the vision and capability to drive the state's development.
Addressing an election rally in Raghopur, Defence Minister criticised the Congress for its lack of focus on development and said, "Whenever they (Congress) come to power, a brake is applied to development. If anyone has the capability for development, then it is the NDA."
Singh further compared the UPA and NDA's record in funding Bihar's growth, saying, "At the time when the UPA was in the Centre, it gave only Rs 2 lakh crore for the development of Bihar. Under the NDA, over the last 10 years, we invested Rs 15 lakh crore in Bihar's development."
Highlighting India's growing global stature under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Singh urged voters to support the NDA for sustained progress and stability in Bihar. He asserted that the alliance's decade-long track record reflects its commitment to development and good governance.
"Today, when India speaks at any international forum, the whole world listens to what India has to say," he added. (ANI)
