Hero MotoCorp appears to be gearing up for another major launch, as the company has filed a design patent for what is speculated to be the upcoming Karizma XMR 250 . The new model could possibly be based on the Hero 2.5R Xtunt Concept. The design patent has been registered on 10th September 2024. Here, let’s take a look at what to expect from the model.
Hero MotoCorp’s new motorcycle : Patent images decoded
The patent images suggest that the upcoming bike could be a sportier version of the Karizma XMR 210 , with several key design elements that set it apart. The motorcycle is shown with a sleek full fairing, similar to the 2.5R Xtunt Concept, and a redesigned fuel tank. In addition to the design upgrades, the XMR 250 seems to come equipped with USD forks , unlike the telescopic units used in the XMR 210.Besides that, some components, such as the 2-piece seat, appear to be carried over from its 210cc sibling. Other visible features on the motorcycle include a two-piece grab rail for the pillion, disc brakes on both wheels, a low-mounted saree guard etc.
Hero Karizma XMR 250: Engine
Though Hero MotoCorp has not officially confirmed the bike’s identity, it is likely that this could indeed be the Karizma XMR 250. The bike is expected to be powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which would be a significant upgrade from the XMR 210. It will be paired with a six-speed gearbox, though exact performance specifications are still not known.
