The latest weekend at the box office in India saw Hollywood’s unprecedented domination with not one but two American films wreaking havoc at the box office.
These include Tom Cruise’s final Mission: Impossible film titled Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning and the sixth installment in the horror franchise Final Destination titled Final Destination Bloodlines.

While Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is slated to release in the US on May 23, 2025, it hit the screens in India six days early on May 17, 2025, i.e. Saturday.
And as expected, the film has wreaked havoc at the box office on its opening day becoming the biggest opener for Tom Cruise in India.
According to the early estimates, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning has collected a huge Rs 17.50 crore on day one in India making it the best opening in the franchise.

As for Final Destination Bloodlines, the film released in India on Thursday i.e. May 15, 2025, and made a strong Rs 4.50 crore.
On day two, it witnessed growth and made Rs 5.35 crore and on day three, the film is expected to collect Rs 6.25 crore. Taking its 3-day biz to Rs 16.10 crore.
Both Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning and Final Destination Bloodlines are expected to deliver a strong opening weekend in India. While the Tom Cruise starrer will only have a 2-day weekend, in the case of the horror franchise, it will be an extended 4-day opening weekend.
