Good news is on the horizon for crores of Indian farmers as the central government is gearing up to release the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN). Launched in 2019, this scheme has become a major financial support system for small and marginal farmers across the country.
As per recent reports, the government is expected to transfer the next installment in the first week of June 2025. Farmers who have completed all necessary verifications and are registered with the scheme will be eligible to receive the benefit.
✅ What is PM Kisan Yojana?The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme under which eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months. These funds are directly credited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Since its inception, the government has successfully released 19 installments, and the upcoming 20th installment is generating significant anticipation.
📅 When Will the 20th Installment Be Released?According to sources close to the Ministry of Agriculture, the 20th installment is likely to be disbursed in the first week of June 2025. However, to ensure that the payment reaches the intended beneficiaries, the government has launched a special verification campaign till May 31 to connect all eligible farmers to the scheme.
📝 Mandatory Steps to Receive the 20th InstallmentTo ensure successful credit of the ₹2,000 payment, beneficiary farmers must complete the following:

Visit the official PM Kisan website:

Go to the Farmer Corner section and click on e-KYC.

Enter your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number.

An OTP will be sent to your phone for verification.

Submit the OTP to complete e-KYC.
Farmers must ensure their bank account is Aadhaar-linked. Additionally, the account should be NPCI-enabled for smooth DBT credit.
