IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025: There is relief news for the youth wishing to recruit for the posts of Agniveer Vayu in the Indian Air Force. The last date of application has been extended, and now candidates can apply online till 4 August 2025. Earlier, the deadline for application was set as 31 July, which has been extended by four days.
This recruitment is a golden opportunity for 12th pass youth as well as candidates who have done a diploma and vocational courses. Interested candidates can apply only in online mode. For this, the application process has to be completed by visiting the official websiteagnipathvayu.cdac.in.
For Science stream:
The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English subjects from a recognized board with at least 50% marks and a minimum of 50% marks in English as well.
Or the candidate should have a three-year engineering diploma in the relevant trade (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or IT), in which at least 50% marks are also mandatory in the English subject.
For non-science category:
The candidate must have passed 10+2 in any stream and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in total and the English subject.
Or passed a two-year vocational course, with a minimum of 50% marks and 50% marks in English.
Age limit:
To apply, the age of the candidate should be between 17.5 years and 21 years. The candidate must be born between 2 July 2005 and 2 January 2009.
IAF Agniveer Vayu Selection Process: Evaluation will be done in four stages
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, physical efficiency test (PET), document verification, and medical examination.
Physical test standards:
Male candidates will have to complete a 1.6 km race in 7 minutes.
Female candidates will have to cover the same distance in 8 minutes.
In addition, exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, and squats will also be conducted.
Application fee
Candidates of every category will have to deposit a fee of ₹550 online at the time of application.
Facilities during service:
Selected Agniveers will get medical insurance of Rs 48 lakh in a four-year service period.
There will be no provision for gratuity.
Candidates can avail the facilities of Air Force hospitals and CSD canteen during service.
30 days of general leave will be available annually, as well as sick leave will also be available on medical advice.
