Two Brighton players waited in tunnel for Alexis Mac Allister after Liverpool win

Behind-the-scenes footage showed two players waiting for in the tunnel after ’s 2-1 win at Anfield.

The Argentine then made his way inside the famous Anfield tunnel, where footage uploaded to Liverpool’s official YouTube channel showed him being met by his former Brighton team-mates Julio Enciso and Pervis Estupinan.

Mac Allister could be seen hugging Enciso and trading shirts with the Paraguayan, before embracing Ecuadorian defender Estupinan in a heart-warming South American reunion.

Estupinan and Enciso both joined the Seagulls at the start of the 2022/23 season. They played alongside Mac Allister for one season before his stunning performances at the 2022 World Cup earned him a £35million move to Liverpool.

Mac Allister had initially signed for Brighton in January 2019 but returned to Argentina on loan until January 2020. He became a mainstay in the Brighton team during the 2020/21 season, ending his time on the south coast with 20 goals in 112 appearances.

Since his arrival at Anfield, the playmaker has made 61 appearances across all competitions. He’s featured in all 10 of Liverpool’s Premier League fixtures this season, playing an important role in ’s side as they currently leading the table, two points ahead of .
