is to make his return to TV for first time since the scandal that led to his exit from .
faced a string of allegations regarding his behaviour by the Sherlock actress, who was partnered with the Italian dancer on the One show last year. She left after just a few weeks, citing health reasons, and it later emerged Amanda had quit due to the abusive behaviour she allegedly faced from Giovanni during their rehearsals.
An investigation into the claims was conducted by the BBC, and last month, it was announced that Giovanni was cleared of 10 of the 16 allegations made against him. The dancer said in a statement that he was relieved that allegations he had been threatening and abusive “were found not to be true”. Amanda accused Giovanni of creating an atmosphere in training that led to “an ongoing litany of being verbally abused”, and she claimed there were claims in the report that “are unresolved”.

Since the scandal kicked off earlier this year, Giovanni fled to his native Italy to take part in their version of Strictly, and has seen some of his upcoming projects, including his appearance in the reality show Celebrity Hunted, scrapped in light of the allegations and subsequent investigation. A source told The Sun that Giovanni would be appearing on Lorraine’s daytime show on Tuesday, and would be discussing new projects in the pipeline.
They said Amanda has been able to voice her side of the story in several high-profile interviews, but Giovanni was unable to because of his links to the BBC, and the investigation into the allegations. “Now it is complete, Giovanni is able to discuss certain things but most importantly, move forward with his career,” the insider claimed. “He will chat to Lorraine about his upcoming solo tour The Last Dance and run of new dates for his gigs with Anton Du Beke.”
Amanda spoke in detail about her “year of hell” in an interview with BBC Newsnight earlier this month, and said she had been on the receiving end of vicious death threats since going public with her allegations. She insisted she loved Strictly and “never wanted to cause trouble, I never wanted to bring down a show or ruin anybody’s career”, but wanted to speak out after her experience.
“All I did was experience something in a workplace environment that was actually on a show run by a corporation that is owned by the public and I didn’t want anybody else to go through what I had gone through,” Amanda explained, as she added that she had met with Giovanni’s former celebrity partners, as well as other Strictly contestants, “to make sure we weren't on our own thinking this had just happened to us”.
