Another pop culture headliner is coming to Fortnite in the shape of the menacing Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, rounding out the movie-themed skins we're expecting for Fortnitemares 2024.

has been wheeling out skins like it’s going out of business recently, and given the fan reception to the event, it’s easy to see why. Since the event started we’ve seen , and a fistful of joining original characters and returning champions. It’s about to get even bigger, too.

Players have been anticipating the arrival of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Leatherface since he first appeared in the game’s key art and teaser trailer, and though he’s joining a stacked cast of collab characters, they still want to get a hold of the burly beast of a killer.

, The Fortnite Leatherface skin is coming to the game on Friday, October 25. It’d be good news if he did, too, as we’re nearing the end of the Fortnitemares event, and there’s still a Chainsaw weapon and ridable item yet to drop in the island that is presumably tied directly to the character’s appearance.

The image shared of the skin is notable, as his look is pretty different from that of the character in the original horror film, doing away with the blood on his apron and opting to make the character’s “leatherface” out of what looks to be regular leather – rather than the skin of his victims. Fortnite is a game for kids, to be fair, but it’s a pretty considerable change.

The same tweet from ShiinaBR has revealed the expected prices of the cosmetics, and it looks like they’re bundled in a peculiar way. Every cosmetic will come together in a full bundle costing 2,500 V-Bucks. Here’s what’s included:

• Leatherface Outfit – 1,500 V-Bucks separately

• The Chainsaw Pickaxe – 1,200 V-Bucks separately

• Chainsaw Dance Emote (included with pickaxe)

There is also likely to be a Back Bling to go with the Fortnite Leatherface skin itself, though it hasn’t yet been revealed. If you want to bag the whole Texas Chainsaw Massacre collection, your best bet is to invest in a bundle of 2,800 V-Bucks for £17.49 / $22.99 / AU$30.35. It’s up to you to decide if that’s a worthwhile price to pay, but we’re willing to bet that the Chainsaw Dance Emote alone will be worth it.
